WASHINGTON — Sports are ever-evolving. Sometimes, when old footage is replayed during a game, it is stunning to see how much has changed. Technology progresses, uniforms change and time ages us all.
That makes a sports gallery a perfect venue for Throwback Thursday. It gives us a chance to look back at some of the iconic images of sports through the lens of history. So that’s what we’ll do here each week, bringing you a handful of new (old) photos from the sports world.
