Authorities identify 1 dead in Woodbridge house fire

WASHINGTON — One person died in a fire in Prince William County, Virginia, July 30.

The victim was identified as James Patrick Morrogh, 61.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but no foul play is suspected. Morrogh’s death appears to have been a result of the fire, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue.

The fire broke out in a single family home in the 1500 block of Walnut Street in Woodbridge shortly before 6 a.m., authorities say.

Fire crews arrived at the home and found an occupant inside. Morrogh was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
