Police: Suspect arrested in fatal shooting of Va. woman

WASHINGTON — Prince William County police have arrested a man who may have been involved in the fatal shooting of a woman in a Gainesville parking lot.

Bryan Christopher Yu, 33, of Ashburn was arrested Monday for his alleged involvement in the death of the victim, who has been identified as Linh Thi Pham, police said.

Pham was shot as she was sitting in her car in the 7300 block of Atlas Walk Way in Gainesville around 5:35 p.m. Sunday after leaving her job. The 26-year-old Bristow woman was taken to a hospital where she later died.

Police say that Yu was the victim’s acquaintance. He is being held without bond, and has been charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
