WASHINGTON — One person was shot and another one assaulted in College Park Saturday night.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. on the 7500 block of Rhode Island Avenue, an area that is predominantly off-campus housing for University of Maryland students.
The male victims were taken to a hospital and treated for nonlife threatening injuries. They are University of Maryland students.
Police are searching for the suspects, whose last know direction of travel was toward a Metro stop.

Prince George’s County police ask people to stay away from the area.
