WASHINGTON — The New England Patriots are visiting the White House Wednesday to celebrate their historic Super Bowl victory, but one player got into the fun before the official event began.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski, well-known for his off-the-field antics and personality, interrupted the White House press briefing briefly mid-answer from White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
“You need some help?” Gronk asked after opening a door behind the podium.
“I think I got this, but thank you,” Spicer trailed off, then added, “Maybe.”
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will not be attending today’s celebration, citing a personal family matter.
