Police release photo of Md. indecent exposure suspect, ask for help in search

WASHINGTON — Montgomery County police are asking for help identifying a man who they say was involved in an indecent exposure incident in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Oct. 9 in the 7200 block of Whispering Oaks Way, near Flower Hill Way. Police say a man was near a sliding glass door in his first-floor apartment when the suspect appeared outside.

Police say the suspect asked for the victim’s phone number, made sexual gestures and exposed himself.

The victim was able to take a picture of the man before he ran away.

The suspect was described as being in his 20s, standing 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has black hair and facial hair. Police say when the picture was taken, the suspect was wearing a navy blue jacket with the words “Woodstock Student” written in yellow letters. He was also wearing black athletic shorts over black legging pants.

Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a reward up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
