Car strikes bus near elementary in Damascus

WASHINGTON — A car struck a school bus as the bus was getting ready to turn into Clearspring Elementary School in Montgomery County Thursday morning.

Montgomery County Fire and EMS spokesman Daniel Ugren says five of the 20 Montgomery County Public School students on board have been taken to Holy Cross Germantown Hospital as a precaution.

The accident occurred on Moyer Road at Md. 124/Woodfield Road in Damascus, Maryland around 9:25 a.m.
