Amber Alert canceled for Montgomery Co. 15-month-old

UPDATE Sept. 10, 7:31 p.m.: WASHINGTON — An Amber Alert has been canceled for a missing Montgomery Co. 15-month-old, who was found safe.

Police say 15-month-old Farah Muhammed was found safe in Frederick, Maryland.

Kelly was in police custody.

EARLIER Sept. 10, 6:13 p.m.: WASHINGTON – An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing Montgomery County 15-month-old girl.

At about 8 a.m. Thursday, 15-month-old Farah Muhammed was taken by her dad, Jason Winston Kelly, from her mom’s house located in the 18900 block of Smoothstone Way in Montgomery Village.

Farah is described as a black female who weighs 23 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She is wearing small, round earrings.

Kelly, who may also go by the Muslim name of Ishmael, was last seen driving a white Hyundai Santa-Fe with a Maryland temporary tag of 453577T.

Kelly is 39 years old and is described as a black male about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 189 pounds. He has light skin and is bald with a beard.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Farah or Kelly is asked to call 911.
