UPDATE: Wednesday, May 13, 2015 4:50 p.m.: WASHINGTON — Montgomery County police on Wednesday asked neighbors of the couple who died for any possible video surveillance on the night they were stabbed to death.
Montgomery County police tweeted Wednesday asking Glen Hill residents in the Ridge Drive area to check home video surveillance systems for any suspicious activity.

EARLIER Monday, May 11, 2015 7:15 p.m.: WASHINGTON — Someone may have entered a Rockville, Maryland, couple’s house through the window on the day they were found dead, Montgomery County police said Monday.
On Sunday, shortly after 12 p.m., police officers went to the 13200 block of Ridge Drive. Once on scene, police found two deceased people, according to a news release. The Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled that their deaths are a double homicide caused by sharp force injuries to both victims.
The victims are identified as Richard Louis Vilardo, 65, and Julianne Humphries Vilardo, 67.
Julianne was found dead inside the home. Richard was found dead behind the residence.
The Vilardos agreed to meet family on Sunday. When the couple was late, family members went to the home and found both of them dead. Family called police at 12:18 p.m.
On Monday afternoon, police said investigators believe that entry was made into the home through a window. The window’s glass was not broken and police say the window may not have been locked.
The Vilardos will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where autopsies will be performed.
