School buses involved in Montgomery Co. crash

WASHINGTON — A crash involving two school buses caused traffic delays in Montgomery County Wednesday afternoon.

The crash involving buses from two private schools occurred on River Road and Bradley Boulevard at about 4 p.m. The crash caused injuries to two students and two adults, says Montgomery County Fire and EMS Spokesman Pete Piringer.

There were a total of eight passengers and two drivers involved in the crash, Piringer adds. Emergency crews evaluated all of the people involved in the crash and transported the four injured to an area hospital.

All lanes of River Road were closed near Bradley Boulevard at about 4 p.m. The lanes all reopened by about 5:15 p.m.

It is not yet clear which schools were involved in the crash nor when the road will reopen.
