Flights request medical help at Dulles Airport after encountering turbulence

WASHINGTON — Two United Airlines flights requested medical assistance for injured passengers from Dulles International Airport Saturday.

Three passengers on a United 1597 flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico received medical attention from EMS at Dulles Airport after encountering turbulence, according to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority officials.

The other flight, United 1774, coming from San Francisco, California cancelled their request for medical assistance.

Both flights are on the ground at this time. Airport operations continue as normal.
