Dave Grohl pays tribute to Jewish rockers this Hanukkah

If you can’t wait to see the Foo Fighters play Merriweather Post Pavilion this May, band frontman Dave Grohl has something to tide you over.

Grohl’s new cover of The Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop” is one of eight tunes involving Jewish artists to whom he’s paying tribute, alongside producer Greg Kurstin, in the second installment of their “Hanukkah Sessions.”

Other covers include Lisa Loeb’s “Stay,” Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana” and Van Halen’s “Jump.”

You can watch the “Hanukkah Sessions” below.

Grohl, who grew up in Fairfax County, Virginia, will be back in the D.C. region on May 16, when the Foo Fighters are set to play at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
