PHOTOS: Crowds attend Memorial Day Parade in DC

Despite persistent rain, crowds of people lined up along Constitution Avenue in D.C. Monday to watch the Memorial Day Parade. They were wearing rain slickers and carrying umbrellas to honor those who served and died.

The parade featured all the armed services, and high school marching bands — some from Florida, Georgia and Louisiana. Also, there were floats carrying family members of the fallen service members.

At Arlington National Cemetery, President Joe Biden lauded the sacrifice of generations of U.S. troops who “dared all and gave all” fighting for their country and called on Americans to ensure their “sacrifice was not in vain” in Memorial Day observances.
