PHOTOS: DC Embassy Chef Challenge returns

The 2022 Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge, which is part of the D.C. International City Food Festival, returned Thursday after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The challenge was held at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and kicked off three days of festival events.

The global culinary celebration included entertainment and live art, and it brought international cuisine to one place, one night only right in the District.

Attendees were able to enhance their palate and take part in choosing the people’s choice award at the Chef Challenge. Third place went to the Embassy of Armenia; in second place was the Embassy of Pakistan; and first place went to the Embassy of the Philippines.
