PHOTOS: DC-area deluge leaves fallen trees, flooded roads and lots to clean up

Heavy rain and high winds that blew through the D.C. area during the evening rush left behind flooding and roadway closures well into Wednesday.

Tuesday’s severe weather flooded area roadways, downed trees and knocked out power to thousands.
