Comedian Billy Crystal, actor Queen Latifah and musicians Renée Fleming, Barry Gibb and Dionne Warwick were honored as this year’s group of Kennedy Center inductees.
All were lauded for lifetime achievements in the arts and entertainment at the black-tie event, featuring personalized tributes and a White House welcome from President Joe Biden.
In announcing the recipients earlier this year, the Kennedy Center’s president, Deborah F. Rutter, called them “an extraordinary mix of individuals who have redefined their art forms.”
