CBS special asks you to vote for your favorite Super Bowl commercials

WTOP's Jason Fraley previews 'Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials' (Part 1)

What was your favorite Super Bowl commercial in recent memory?

The TV special “Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials” will decide on Wednesday at 8 p.m. on CBS.

“Super Bowl commercials are so expensive,” Executive Producer Robert Horowitz told WTOP. “Last year was $5.3 million, this year CBS is getting $5.5 [million], but they are the most efficient advertising buy. It doesn’t matter which teams are in the Super Bowl, the rating will be there.”

The primetime special will be hosted by NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason (“The NFL Today”) in New York.

Voting is currently open online. The top two vote-getters will advance to a live vote on the telecast.

For the record, classic ads like the Budweiser Frogs and Coke’s Mean Joe Greene aren’t in the running — this vote is only including commercials from the past 20 years.

So with that in mind, here are the nominees.
