Car Review: Land Rover Defender 90 First Edition

Retro off-roaders are all the rage right now, including the Land Rover Defender SUV, which is now available the way many enthusiasts remember it — as a two-door.

This Defender 90 First Edition features a folding fabric roof instead of a sunroof.

It seats six thanks to a front-center jump seat, though that folding seat is clumsy in both the up and down positions.

There are easy to clean rubber floors, and this Defender has an air suspension and can raise and lower itself at the push of a button.

Its optional nearly 400 horsepower six-cylinder is plenty powerful, though a more powerful and much pricier V-8 is available.

The two-door looks sharp, but cargo space is at a premium.

Land Rover Defender 90 First Edition: $66,475.
