It’s been sometime since Infiniti gave its largest and most luxurious SUV — the Infiniti QX80 — a makeover, and to compete in this pricey market, the company stepped up its game inside and out for 2025.

The 2025 Infiniti QX80 has gone from dated to more modern and futuristic in its styling. Thin LED lighting and a new-look waterfall front grill will draw your eyes to the flashy 3D radiant emblem that’s front and center. If that doesn’t get your attention, the 22-inch wheels on this top-of-the-line Autograph will.

Many luxury SUVs seem to play it safe out back, but the QX80 shows its daring sidelight curtain rear taillights and the piano key lighting that stretches the width of the rear hatch give this SUV a unique look.

Not only have the looks changed, so has the driving experience. The V-8 from the previous QX80 is gone for 2025. A smaller new engine packs a mightier punch than that outgoing engine. The twin turbo V-6 with 450hp moves this SUV with gusto. It has a nice sound even though you don’t hear much of it in the cabin. This is no lightweight machine, but it handles better than the previous QX80 versions. The air suspension and dynamic digital suspension deal well with most bumps. Unlike some other luxury SUVs, this big Infiniti is ready to get dirty and explore off-road, thanks to all-mode 4WD.

The QX80 also offers a pleasant place to spend hours in quiet comfort. The new QX80 Autograph has an upscale, well-appointed interior with semi-aniline leather seats that are plush and well bolstered. The front seats offer heat, ventilation and can massage the miles away. Second row captain’s chairs are great with the same capabilities as the front seats. The heated third-row seats are better for passengers with power tilt and folding second-row seats for easier entry and exit. You can even fit adults in all three rows now.

However, storage with three rows in use is limited in this big SUV class. The updated technology is straightforward and easier to use than other three-row luxury SUVs in its class. Amazon Alexa is built in, so voice commands work nicely now.
