Zentan restaurant in the Kimpton Hotel closing its doors

WASHINGTON — A local Japanese establishment is closing at the end of the month.

Zentan, a Japanese comfort food restaurant located in the Kimpton Hotel at 1155 14th Street NW in D.C. is serving its final dinner June 30.

In the announcement on their Facebook page, website and through an email to subscribers, Zentan did not say why they were closing but did write, “we’re looking forward to sharing our next chapter with you very soon.”

With a Japanese “all-you-can-eat” style called “Kuidaore,” diners experienced the restaurant through endless waves of food sent from the kitchen.

The restaurant featured Executive Chef Yo Matsuzak and served the community for nine years.
