Get a free cone at Dairy Queen

WASHINGTON — It’s free cone day at Dairy Queen Tuesday.

You can get a free small cone at participating locations that are not in malls, if you ask.

“DQ is bringing summer early on #FreeConeDay,” the company said in a statement.

Dairy Queen is encouraging customers to make donations to Children’s Miracle Networks.

Last year the chain collected more than $140,000 for the charity.

Participating Dairy Queens gave out an average of 1,330 cones on Free Cone Day in 2015.
