DC police seek suspect in Northwest sexual assault

WASHINGTON — A woman in Northwest D.C. was sexually assaulted outside of her home early Sunday morning.

It happened shortly after 3 a.m. when a man approached a home and knocked on the door on 8th Street between Kennedy and Longfellow streets.

A woman opened the door, and the man pulled out a knife and forced the woman to the ground outside.

The man then sexually assaulted her and ran away.

D.C. police are looking for a Hispanic male, who is about 5 foot, 6 inches with a full head of hair and a thick accent.
