Nats Park James Taylor begins after severe weather threat

WASHINGTON – The James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt concert began on time at Nationals Park Friday evening after powerful storms moved through the area, threatening to possibly postpone the show.

The Nationals delayed the gates’ opening ahead of the concert and advised that fans find shelter. The gates opened about a half hour later around 5:30 p.m.

Even as fans were let in, event staff told fans to stay on the concourse until further notice.

Fans were permitted to take the seating around around 6:45 p.m. ahead of the 7 p.m. concert.
