WASHINGTON — Police are asking for help in finding the suspect responsible for damage to several cars and homes in Charles County earlier this week.
During the overnight hours of July 28 into July 29, multiple cars and homes were damaged in several Waldorf, Maryland, neighborhoods, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
In many of the cases, the suspects broke cars’ windows and mirrors and stole the tags. In other cases, suspects threw rocks and bottles through the windows of several homes.
The sheriff’s office says the cases happened in the following neighborhoods:
Damaged cars: 1800 block of Ann Marie Circle, 3900 block of Northgate Place, 3000 block of Huntington Circle, 11500 block of Terrace Drive, 5000 block of Dorchester Circle, 2600 block of Shultz Drive, 11200 block of Barnswallow Place, 1200 block of Pierce Road, 2500 block of Enterprise Place, North Point High School, 12300 block of Burning Oak Court, 5100 block of Dorchester Circle and the 5700 block of Springfish Place.
Damaged homes: 800 block of Stone Avenue, 1200 block of Pierce Road, 12500 block Sub Station Road, 2000 block of Darnell Court and a fuel pump and windows of a parked car were damaged at a gas station on Smallwood Drive.
A witness reported seeing the suspects in a red Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
Officials have been canvassing the neighborhoods seeking additional information. Authorities are asking homeowners with this surveillance equipment to check footage from July 28 through July 29 and to contact them if the truck is spotted or if there is any unusual activity.
