A multimedia veteran, John served as the executive editor/SVP for the Cumulus Podcast Network at Westwood One, and oversaw editorial strategy, programming insights, and platform relations with Apple, Spotify and YouTube.

John also launched WSJ Podcasts at The Wall Street Journal in 2015, serving as executive producer. He used to host the What’s News podcast and worked with Amazon to launch WSJ Minute Briefing on Alexa devices.

John also has extensive network radio experience. He ran the WSJ & MarketWatch Radio Networks as executive editor. While at MarketWatch.com, he filed the daily closing bell report on WTOP during the 2000s and appeared on legendary all-news stations WBZ/Boston, WBBM/Chicago, KCBS/San Francisco, and WINS/New York.

A former correspondent for Bloomberg Television in Washington, John used to cover the Federal Reserve, the White House, and Capitol Hill.

His honors include The Webby Award, National Headliner Award, Excellence in Financial Journalism Award, SABEW’s Best In Business Award, and NAREE’s Best Broadcast Report.

Personally, John enjoys baseball and an ice cold beverage on a hot summer day.
