Greenbelt man faces murder charges; victim stabbed in neck

WASHINGTON — A Greenbelt, Maryland man faces murder charges after another man was stabbed in the neck Wednesday morning.

Greenbelt police say Patrick Corie Hunter, 38, has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and first-degree assault, and is being held without bond.

Police have not identified the victim, a 38-year-old man who was taken to Prince George’s Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say when they responded to a home in the 9100 block of Edmonston Road at 10:04 p.m., they found the victim lying on the living room couch.

Hunter was at the scene, where police say they recovered a kitchen knife.

The victim’s name will be released after his family is notified.
