WASHINGTON — In a contest fitting of a championship match, “Field of Dreams” overcame an early deficit to edge “Rocky” as your choice for the greatest sports movie of all time.

The vote ended up being one of the closest in the entire tournament. When all was said and done, only five votes separated the two films, showing just how deserving each one was of its spot in the final.

“Field of Dreams” defeated “Rookie of the Year,” “Moneyball,” “The Natural,” “Bull Durham” and “Rudy” on its way to the title. Meanwhile, “Rocky” knocked out “Above the Rim,” “White Men Can’t Jump,” “Hoosiers,” “Raging Bull” and “Miracle” before its hard-fought defeat.

Perhaps it’s the only fitting conclusion for “Rocky,” to forge essentially a split decision, but lose the official title.

Thanks for voting all week. If you have any other ideas for sports brackets you’d like to vote on, let us know in the comments.
