WASHINGTON — The pumpkin-spice craze has hit a new high — or low.
The signature flavor of fall is no longer just for lattes and muffin mixes. In Japan, McDonald’s is serving pumpkin and chocolate covered french fries, Food and Wine reports.
The fries, drizzled in a sweet chocolate and pumpkin sauce, are available from Sept. 28 through Halloween.
The new addition is a spin on the ‘McChoco Potato,’ which McDonald’s introduced in January. These fries, also only available in Japan, are covered in two different types of chocolate sauces.
If a ticket to Tokyo is not in your budget, the closest thing you’ll find to this sweet-and-salty treat is McDonald’s sweet potato fries, which are available at a handful of restaurants in Texas.
Of course, there’s also the McCafe Pumpkin Spice Latte.
