ADOPTED! Pet of the Week: Felix

WASHINGTON – Meet Felix, a 4-year-old Plott hound mix.

Although Plott hounds are the state dog of North Carolina, this big boy hails from a bit closer — Montgomery County, Md.

Did we mention he’s a big boy?

The truth is, Felix is a bit bigger than he should be at the moment. We’re guessing his former family gave him lots of good meals and not quite enough exercise.

So, this loveable, handsome hunk is looking for a home with active people who will help him get back into tip-top shape with lots of walks and playtime.

And given his sweet, affectionate nature, he wouldn’t mind some “down” time, complete with cuddles.

WTOP Living is partnering with the Washington Animal Rescue League to feature a Pet of the Week available for adoption. For more information about Felix, email adoption@warl.org or call 202-726-2556 ext. 503.
