Below is a list of schools and other organizations that are closed or have delayed openings on Sunday, March 4.
PUBLIC SCHOOLS
SUNDAY, MARCH 4: Fairfax County Public Schools — All activities scheduled in Fairfax County Public Schools or on school grounds for Sunday, March 4 are canceled.
SUNDAY, MARCH 4: Howard County Public Schools — Multiple Howard County Public Schools facilities are closed. Visit https://www.hcpss.org/ for the full list.
COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
SUNDAY, MARCH 4: College of Southern Maryland — La Plata Campus is closed March 4 until power is restored. All other locations are on a normal schedule.
RECREATION CENTERS
MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Classes — including basketball — scheduled in elementary and middle schools that begin at noon or earlier are canceled. Classes scheduled in high schools, recreation, senior and aquatic centers will be held as scheduled. Announcement on afternoon programming in elementary and middle schools by noon.
FAIRFAX COUNTY — All Park Authority programs at Fairfax County Public School locations are canceled. Check the Fairfax County Emergency Information website to see which parks are closed.
COMMUTER
SUNDAY, MARCH 4: Metrorail (WMATA) — Metrorail has scheduled shutdowns of multiple stretches of the Blue and Yellow lines, plus major delays along the entire Red Line, are set to disrupt Metro trips this weekend.
PRIVATE SCHOOLS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS
MONDAY, MARCH 5: Heritage Christian School — Closed on Monday
SUNDAY, MARCH 4: St. Luke Catholic Church Parish School of Religion — No PSR, no Communion Workshop on Sunday.
SUNDAY, MARCH 4: Washington Hebrew Congregation — JBSC Religious School & Purim Carnival canceled on Sunday.
