WASHINGTON — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the D.C. area Sunday until 3 p.m. Winds will range from 15 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph.
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge is under wind restrictions. House trailers, empty box trailers or any vehicle that cannot safely cross the bridge will be prohibited.
Some roads are blocked by downed trees and poles.
Thousands are also without power. See below for WTOP’s regional outages map.
On the weather front, Sunday afternoon will see more sun than earlier that morning, but falling temperatures coupled with wind will make temperatures feel like the 40s and 30s.
