National Harbor lands BurgerFi, other new retail tenants

Retail leasing at National Harbor is picking up even as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to hurt retail and restaurant industries.

National Harbor developer Peterson Cos. has signed on four new retail tenants recently, including fast-casual restaurant BurgerFi, retailer Roll by Goodyear and eyelash and eyebrow-focused salon Girlkin Lashes.

They’ll join Black-owned bookstore MahoganyBooks, whose forthcoming location at National Harbor was first reported by the Washington Business Journal’s Emily Van Zandt earlier in February.

Here are the details on the new leases:

BurgerFi: 2,714 square feet at 161 Fleet St., previously a dry cleaners
Roll by Goodyear: 1,616 square feet at 128 Waterfront St., formerly a cupcake and sweets shop
Girlkin Lashes: 1,311 square feet at 181 American Way, previously a designer goods consignment shop
MahoganyBooks: 1,408 square feet at 121 American Way, formerly a Life is Good apparel shop
