VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — Discount coach company Megabus is adding a stop in Virginia Beach, with plans to eventually add another in Norfolk.
Virginia Beach transportation planner Brian Solis tells The Virginian-Pilot the company will begin picking up passengers by the end of May. That will give residents another option for getting to major cities like D.C. and Philadelphia.
The company, known for offering fares as low as $1, already has stops for passengers in Hampton and Richmond.
Mike Waters, the U.S. service delivery director for Megabus, says a stop in Norfolk is also in the works but the location isn’t set yet.
