Teenager arrested after Manassas fatal shooting

WASHINGTON — Police have made a second arrest after a murder in Manassas, Virginia, last week.

On Tuesday, Manassas City Police Department, with the help of other agencies, arrested a 16-year-old male from Chantilly for his role in the April 17 shooting and killing of 25-year-old Wilfredo Guardado-Huezo. He was one of two suspects wanted in the case.

The other suspect, 20-year-old Manassas resident Denis Alexander Sanchez, was arrested on April 17.

On April 17 around 1:10 a.m., police located Guardado-Huezo with gunshot wounds near Don Julio Restaurant in the 9000 block of Centreville Road in Manassas. The 25-year-old was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

The 16-year-old suspect is being charged with first degree murder, and being held without bond.

The two suspect were captured in surveillance footage standing by a white vehicle that was parked near the restaurant.

The case marks Manassas’ only shooting death in 2017, said Manassas City police spokesman C. D. Sharp.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the case can contact Manassas City police at 703-257-8092.
