Year-old homicide of Va. student unsolved; reward money unclaimed

HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — The slaying of a university student in Virginia remains unsolved one year after his death.

WAVY reports (http://bit.ly/2e6gkKF) that Norfolk police have no new information on the killing of 20-year-old Joseph Bose. A $20,000 reward for information offered by the family goes unclaimed. An online fundraising site has also raised $17,000.

Joseph Bose went to Hampton University. But on Oct. 30, 2015, his mother said he was leaving an off-campus party near Old Dominion University when he was shot early in the morning. Family members say several people witnessed the murder.

Hampton held a vigil for Bose on Sunday night that included his friends and family.
