Man exposes himself outside Manassas City church before sexually assaulting woman

WASHINGTON —  Manassas City Police are searching for a man who exposed himself and then sexually assaulted a woman outside the Bethel Lutheran Church this past January.

Police say between 7 and 8 p.m. on Jan. 12, 2015, a man was captured on video footage walking around the church located in the 8700 block of Plantation Lane.  A woman inside the church who was looking out a glass door saw the man masturbating and then called police.

The man fled, but during the same timeframe he reportedly asked another woman in the church parking lot for a cigarette. While she was retrieving one from her car, he fondled her buttocks and ran.

Police say the man possibly drives a Chevrolet Blazer. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact Detective C. Daniels at 703-257-8046 or Crime Solvers at 703-330-0330.  The Manassas City Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in these cases.
