The decision to rename the school comes after months of discussion and calls to change the school’s name to reflect the diversity of the county.
A 21-member committee appointed by the Arlington County school board is recommending that Washington-Lee High School be renamed as Washington-Loving.
“It’s time to talk about the names of our schools and what they mean and why they matter,” said the chairwoman of Arlington County School Board at a meeting on Thursday.

to waive a policy that stripped some bus service
