Police identify body pulled from Manassas pond

WASHINGTON — Police have identified a body that was pulled from a pond in Manassas last month.

The Prince William County police say that Rose Marie Ditoro, 23, of Annandale, Virginia was pulled out of a retention pond in the 7300 block of Williamson Boulevard, in Manassas, on the afternoon of March 29. She had been reported missing and endangered on Feb. 4.

The police say detectives are working with the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death, but added that it doesn’t appear to have been random, no foul play is suspected and there’s no threat to the community stemming from Ditoro’s death.
