July 4 shooting in Prince George’s Co. leaves 1 dead

WASHINGTON — A man is dead after a shooting in Langley Park, Maryland, early Wednesday morning.

Prince George’s County police responded to the 8300 block of 14th Avenue in Langley Park at 3:10 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

Police said they found Felipe Gonzalez-Len, 28, of Langley Park, near the steps of an apartment complex, with at least one gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives are still trying to find a suspect and motive in the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-866-411-8477. A reward of up to $35,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
