Police investigate man’s death after dispute inside Lanham home

WASHINGTON — Police in Prince George’s County say they’re investigating the death of a man inside his Lanham, Maryland, home early Thursday morning.

Police said the man was involved in a dispute with another person who lived in the home in the 7000 block of Woodstream Terrace. In a tweet, police said the man suffered trauma to his body but not otherwise describe his injuries. He died at about 4 a.m., police said.

Detectives are speaking with the other person who was inside the home and collecting evidence, police said.

Separately, a man was fatally shot along the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Prince George’s County. Police said the man was found shortly after 6 p.m. near the parkway and Annapolis Road in Hyattsville. The man died at the scene.

The investigation Wednesday night led to traffic delays as people through the area. Police said they do not believe the shooting was random and are working to identify a suspect or suspects.
