WASHINGTON — A man fatally stabbed his father inside their Prince George’s County house Tuesday, police said.

On Wednesday, Prince George’s County police announced a first-degree murder charge against 25-year-old Robert Terreo Figueroa, who they say killed his 51-year-old father, Roberto Figueroa.

Police responded to the 7900 block of Riggs Road around 2 p.m. Tuesday and found Roberto Figueroa suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The son admitted to police that he killed his father. The younger Figueroa is being held at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status, police said.

The motive for the murder is not yet clear, a Prince George’s County police spokeswoman said.

In addition to the first-degree murder charge, Robert Terreo Figueroa faces other related charges.

Anyone with information about the case can call the Prince George’s County police at 301-772-4925.
