Child struck by car in Md. in critical condition

WASHINGTON — A child is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Thursday morning in Upper Marlboro.

The incident happened just before 7 a.m. near the intersection of Crain Highway and Queens Court, Prince George’s County Fire spokesman Mark Brady said.

Maryland State police said the victim was “school-age” and was flown to a trauma center for children.

The investigation is ongoing.
