Police: Woman’s body found in Springdale, identity unknown

WASHINGTON — The discovery of a woman’s body in Springdale, Maryland early Saturday has Prince George’s County police wondering who she was and why someone would shoot her.

Police were called to Yellowwood Lane near Foxglove Way, a residential intersection just down the street from Flowers High School around 2:40 a.m. They found the victim, who had been shot in the upper body.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
