WASHINGTON — Police in Prince George’s County are investigating a homicide reported in Temple Hills early Sunday.
Police said they found Edward Payne, 48, suffering from gunshot wounds when they were called to the 4800 block of Stamp Road at around 1:30 a.m.
Payne, a resident of Northeast D.C., was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are trying to determine a motive and don’t know who was involved in the shooting, which they said they did not think was random.
