Questions about woman found dead on Upper Marlboro road

WASHINGTON — Maryland State Police have identified the body of a woman found Saturday night on a local state highway, but they’ve not yet determined the circumstances of her death.

“Her name is Tiffany Storey and we do know she comes from an address in Upper Marlboro, and she’s 33 years old, a Caucasian woman,” says Elena Russo, spokeswoman for the Maryland State Police.

The body, with multiple injuries, was found on northbound U.S. 301 near the exit to route 4 in Upper Marlboro.

“We’re not sure if this was an accident that occurred or otherwise,” Russo says. “Police officers are talking to her family members to try to get some more information and really try to put the pieces of this puzzle together.”

Russo says investigators have some leads that they’re following, but they’re also asking the public for help.

“We have opened up a tips line, callers can be confidential,” Russo says.   The Maryland State Police tips line number is 410-257-4925.
