WASHINGTON — A fire at a vacant house in Prince George’s County sent a plume of black smoke into the area Friday morning.
The smoke could be seen by drivers crossing the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
Prince George’s County Fire officials say they received multiple calls about the 9:45 a.m. fire in the unit block of Balmoral Drive East in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
It took firefighters about 1 1/2 hours to put out the blaze.
The cause remains under investigation.
