Prince George’s County police arrested 22-year-old Robert Anthony Myers, a Bowie resident, on Thursday night after police say he shot and killed 18-year-old Devante Marcus King, also a Bowie resident.

At about 1:15 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 13000 block of 6th Street for a shooting. When they arrived, they found King with gunshot wounds. King later died from his injuries.

Police say Myers and King were acquaintances and they say it appears the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the men.

Police developed Myers as a suspect and arrested him at his residence Thursday night.

Myers is charged with first degree murder.

Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department at 301-772-4925.
