Where are they now? 2017’s Pets of the Week

WASHINGTON — It was another great year for WTOP’s Pet of the Week segment.

In 2017, dozens of animals from the Humane Rescue Alliance were featured on-air and online, in hopes of finding a forever home.

Here’s a look back at our featured four-legged pals and where they are now. For more information on animals up for adoption, visit the alliance’s website.

Fabian

Someone heard about the 10-year-old silky terrier on WTOP and adopted him that same day. He’s now enjoying life in the District. 

Dory

Deaf but very sweet, this girl now resides in Montgomery County, Maryland. 

Storm

This 11-year-old Rottweiler mix now lives in rural Virginia. 

Rosay

This 4-year-old pit mix is now living it up in Montgomery County. 

Ruckus

Adopted by a WTOP staffer, Ruckus, an 8-year-old beagle, lives up to his name in Alexandria, Virginia. 

Dixie

This 4-year-old hound mix now resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland. 

Caesar

This large 4-year-old Rottweiler now lives in Prince William County, Virginia.

Meet Chickey!  This beautiful 1 ½ year old is not a chicken.  She’s a sweet boxer/American bulldog mix. (Courtesy Human Rescue Alliance)

Dingo

This youngster, who had bounced around a bit, now has a forever home in Prince George’s County. 

Julep

This social media darling now lives a pampered existence in D.C. 

Talleyrand

This kitten was paralyzed when she arrived at the alliance. She now walks (and even runs) thanks to acupuncture, and lives with a veterinary technician in Arlington, Virginia. 

Summer

This transplant from Alabama now lives it up in Howard County, Maryland. 

Kash

This wiggly, loving pit bull mix now resides in the District. 

Dena

This forgiving pup was in pretty bad shape when she came to the alliance. She now lives in Fairfax County, Virginia. 

Odysseus

His sad journey began when his ex-owner brought him to the alliance on Valentine’s Day. But there’s a happy ending: He now has a D.C. address. 

Walnut

This shy girl now calls D.C. home. 

Dulce

Formerly from Puerto Rico, this 3-year-old is now living in Montgomery County. 

Watson

This pup now sniffs around Montgomery County. 

Peak

This laid-back native of Alabama now has a home in Loudoun County, Virginia. 

Kenny

Another native of Alabama, this pup now has an address in Fairfax County. 

Rumple

This 8-year-old, who arrived with an overgrown and matted coat, now lives in Baltimore. 

Colby

The 1-year-old boy now lives in Prince George’s County. 

Rusty

This energetic, friendly 10-year-old now lives in the District. 

Nova

She was found as a stray with an untreated, badly broken leg that required amputation. But she now lives a comfortable life as a “tri-pawd” in Montgomery County. 

Kobe

This goofy 1-year-old now lives in Prince George’s County. 

Wiggly

A happy and energetic gal, Wiggly’s name got changed to Cora — and she was adopted! 

T-Bird

A former stray, this active 7-year-old now lives in D.C. 

Roxanne

This tiny 8-year-old is now getting pampered in Howard County. 

Dace

This little 8-year-old now lives in Montgomery County. 

Lady

This sweet, friendly 13-year-old is currently in a foster home, still hoping to be adopted. 

Tank

This lovable, high-energy guy now resides in Prince George’s County. 

Roxana

This low-maintenance 10-year-old now calls Fairfax County home. 

Sparklie

This cuddly lady was adopted the day after she visited WTOP and now lives in Fairfax County. 

Deebo

This very sweet 5-year-old was transferred to River City Bulldog Rescue. 

Marzipan

The 2-year-old “cuddlebug” now lives in Prince George’s County. 

Tessa

The 10-year-old beagle mix, who had been a stray, is currently in a foster home while she waits for adoption. 

Busy

This wise senior was adopted one day after visiting WTOP. 

Banjo

This sweet 8-month-old goofball is still waiting for his forever home. 

Poochie

This loving 8-year-old was adopted one day after visiting WTOP. 

Claire

This sweet, gentle mother, who nursed nine puppies while at the alliance, is still waiting for her own happily ever after. 

Man Man

This distinguished bachelor now lives in D.C. 

Prince

This large-but-gentle 8-year-old is still waiting for true love. 

Bubbles

This older gentleman was adopted two days after visiting WTOP and now lives in Montgomery County. 

Musa

An 8-year-old who survived Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, she now lives in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. 

Bruno

This kind little fella is still waiting for his forever home. 

Nino

This sweetheart of a 5-year-old is still waiting for his forever home as well.
