WASHINGTON — If you’re an oldies fan, you’ll remember the words to “Hey Paula,” which topped both the pop and R&B charts in 1963: “Hey, hey Paula, no one else will ever do … Paula I can’t wait no more for you.”
Well, the Washington Animal Rescue League’s Paula is still waiting.
This sweet 2-year-old retriever mix is hoping that this will be the week when special someone sweeps her off her feet — all four of them — and takes her home. Having outgrown the puppy shenanigans stage, Paula has blossomed into a friendly and playful, but calm, young adult who is ready for a life filled with walks in the park and cuddles on the couch … pretty much your basic “happily ever after” scenario.
If you’re looking for the same thing, stop by WARL and let Paula know that she’s the one for you.
