WASHINGTON – Meet Lady Sheba and her family. This 5-year-old spaniel/border collie mix and her five puppies were relinquished to the Washington Animal Rescue League when their human guardian moved to a residence where pets are not permitted.
Since their arrival, mom and “the boys” have been living in our Animal Planet puppy cam den, where thousands of viewers have watched the puppies grow up.
Lady Sheba has been a wonderful, nurturing mother, but now she’s ready for some peace and quiet in a home of her own.
She’s sweet, friendly and loves to be stroked. And she qualifies for our Boomers Buddies program, which means that her adoption fee will be waived for an adopter age 50 or older.
Lady Sheba is ready to go home now and her pups will be available later this week.
WTOP Living is partnering with the Washington Animal Rescue League to feature a Pet of the Week available for adoption. For more information about Lady Sheba, email adoption@warl.org or call 202-726-2556 ext. 503.
